Title: Two 1986 KX500s

Hi, I have recently picked up two KX500s. Both are a 1986 and are in pieces and need full restoration, and I was wondering if any other pistons from the newer year kxs will fit in either the 86. Thanks! I just looked at the vin # and found out there were both from 1986.

Hi Evan, welcome to the site! One of our members, Sandblaster, put together a great interchange list for the KX500.  If you scroll across, you can see what pistons fit your motor or motors.  If you are going to replace your piston, I would recommend a Wossner piston.  Sandblaster and Alward25 are dealers for Wossner if you want someone you can trust to buy from.
