Title: Radiator baffles
Post by: afritts4u on July 27, 2005, 01:00:15 PM
I lost my plastic radiator protector and made a new one out of tight mesh. I noticed that many of the small baffles or holes in the actual radiator are bent over. It does not leak. Does this make a big tempature on riding temp of the motor. I have only overheated once from a broken hose.

I got a small screwdriver one day when I was bored and bent quite a few of them back into their proper position. They get bent with water blasters and the like usally. It must make a bit of difference in the heat you'd think...

Yes it makes a differance, all those fins add up to cooling and mud should be cleaned out also.
