Title: Brake pads spings question
Post by: swordcombat on March 10, 2016, 07:05:58 AM
Hey all just rebuilt and painted my kx250 brake calipers
Now i put the brake pad springs in the calipers and the pads , but the springs seem to be pointless?
As the pads are just rattling about , what is the point in these and has anybody got a picture of the front and rear springs and how the fit properly please

did you not think of posting pics of what you're referring too for us to understand you better??
I'm assuming you're talking about the rattle clips??

all it takes is 2 seconds of searching on youtube to find an answer...

Yeah but in the manual they are called brake pad springs not rattle clips hence i could not find anything , and the video still does not really state how its best to fit them and not the rear either

about the 5:30 mark he starts to show how they go in for the fronts...
as I said...just do a couple seconds of searching on youtube...there's all kinds of "brake installation" stuff in there...not to be an a$$hole, but I'm not gonna do the work for ya.

Sometimes Sandblaster has some really good pictorials...maybe he's got something he can post.
