Title: 2000 k5 into 2006-2008 kx450f
Post by: FL_Sharpshooter on January 09, 2016, 06:51:27 AM
Looking to take my 2000 kx500 engine, part out the entire chassis and buy a donor 2006-2008 kx450f to stuff it in. Any tips or ideas on what to look out for? Also looking for leads on fabricating y piece, motor mounts, rails, etc. I have already taken a look at Benny Lindberg's build sheet and I am wanting to build something pretty much the same, just with fancier parts (no titanium bolts or anything like that - just bling bling  :-D). I know that I can buy the radiator hoses and fmf pipe off of SH - not sure how well it will fit the 450f? Any help or ideas welcomed! .

Sandblaster figured out how to adapt a CR frame to his, and saved a lot of fabrication.

Thanks, I did see this actually, it's pretty interesting. Cool, but not really what I'm after.
