If you could have your frame any color, what would it be? I was kicking around changing mine before assembly. I can powder coat it any color combo. Here is what is looks like now. Any input would be great!

I'm thinking of doing my 525 in flat black on the frame, swingarm, and subframe.
-
In my opinion, the best looking colors for the KX500 frame is the OE Kawi Green. I have mine powdered black, as my friends ovens are either white or black & im to cheap to pay for the green...

That textured black looks very cool. Is it tougher?
-
I like the black also on the 500 but that green is awesome. I'd like to use it on a 250 project I'm doing. I've been reading here for years but don't post. Do you do powder coating yourself?
-
The toughness of the black varies on the black. I have shot some black that only dent a little when I hit it with a ball peen. Overall it holds up pretty good. Yes I do all my own powdercoating.

Good to know. I work alot of hours and even though there are alot of great companies local usually mail is easier. Especially when a phone conversation with somebody that is familiar with the parts we're discussing. Sorry to hijack a thread but would like to know what all services you offer?
-
How much do you normally charge for a frame, swingarm, subframe, etc? Where are you located? I'm going to be doing mine soon, and I would prefer to use you if possible.
-
I was thinking the same thing?
-
I don't mind doing it. I will only be here in Oregon until June. I hope to get another oven up and going after I move to Alaska. I usually charge $100 for a frame. But if you had more parts I would charge that for swingarm, subframe, and frame and any other do-dads. There is a bit of work involved with packaging so it does not get damaged. The cleaner the better and all bearings and races removed. I could, just takes longer.

KMC14,
What ever you need done. I do most things including suspension. Let me know what you need.
Thanks

I'm partial to black.
-
It's got to be green I think any other color just doesn't look right. Does anyone know the if the green it the same color code through the years. I'm needing to get my alloy tank painted when it arrives and don't want it a different shade of green.

Anyone knows what's the RAL CODE for Destry's frame? OEM CODE?
Thank you!

i just wish i had a big enough oven. i redid a set of rims and i dont have anything nearly large enough to bake rims in so they got like 50 f**king coats of grabber green 2 cans of clear matte between coats on both and and a whole can of that clear flex coat rubber paint for the tail end. they look fricken super right now. but i dont expect them to look so good after riding season is upon me again and ive put out in the dirt and rocks. i have anothe set of silver rims and another set of hubs. i would like to do another set exactly likew these are . i used grabber green for the rims and g;oss black on the hubs. black spoke nipples and green spokes would be cool to but anyway what charge would you put out for 2 rims 2 hubs 72 spoke nipples and 72 spokes? i think 36 per rim. its close i know that> i know rims arent frames but when you powder coat theyre just as large to bake.
i want a black frame that has metastatic gold you can see in the right lighting

(http://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt181/Coby_Hosford/bike/100_1654_zps68mv1lzn.jpg) metallic gold and i want my mono spring green too. i would ask a price for 2 rims 2 hubs all the spokes and nipples plus the mono spring

Im Rebuilding my 88 250 and came up with a color scheme that is a little different but kind of reminds me of the late 80's/early 90' colors that were popular. Let me know what you guys think....the picture are just quick photo edits but you'll get the idea.

Wow that's bright!

actually that 250 color is alright. original. like the spokes i think id try matching the green on the front shock covers but its also not my scheme or bike. just an observation. and then purple rims with green hubs. i like it.. clean and original. nice job.
