Title: Upshift issues

Im getting ready to freshen up my 04KX250/500 hybrid and have a issue with the trans. Occasionally it can be hard to upshift mostly when going from 2nd to 3rd. When it happens it seems like if I back off on the throttle it will upshift. Do to this issue Im contemplating splitting the cases and checking things out. Does anyone have any input on this issue? I figured since its down I should take care of it.

Fixed up a k5 for a bloke that would not shift as the revs increased , the shift drum had major runout so I replaced that whole assembly plus all the shift forks and the shifter shaft , works great, hope that helps.
