Title: New KX500AF buyer looking for some info....
Post by: FastGuy68 on December 05, 2015, 11:36:02 AM
Hello all, I am looking to see if I can find out the history of the 2008 KX500AF I just bought from a guy named Chris Huie.  I believe the bike was built by someone in So Cal but I am not for sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Who ever did the conversion sure made some nice welds.
Cool bike.
If it's a Service Honda it will have a sticker.

I have not called Aj @ Service Honda but I'm pretty sure this was a very clean DIY job.

if it was made in 08 it could have lost its service honda sticker, maybe if you email them with the framenumber they can help you

Definitely a different approach with your wishbone.  Still, nicely done.  Looks strong.
My bottom rails fit into a square opening before being welded.

Yes, it will be ridden again.  It will be a good spring project.
If someone wasn't missing in action today I would have been
riding Danger4u-also in back of the shop.
Instead I was streeting it on the GSA doing bridge pic's.

Edit: Any of you guys can join in on "Show us your bike @ the bridge" on ADV.

I didn't think the picture copy would work.

It was a beautiful day too. I would have loved to be riding today instead of hauling branches from the ice storm.  It's amazing how many neighbors can find excuses not to help when it's "neighborhood clean up day".  :-D
