Looking for some help....again, when i turn the idle screw on my carb it makes no difference!
Is this a problem with my carb or something else????
-
On my 88 carb, the idle screw had fallen out, and the guy just replaced it with a short bolt. I would recommend backing yours out, and making sure it matches the parts fiche for your year.

you could need a different pilot jet...how many turns out is your air screw?...see if running it with the choke on makes any difference.
when was the last time you checked the reeds?....reeds that don't sit flat and tight to the cage can cause it too.
I've seen some bikes that won't idle until they've been FULLY warmed up too.

Thanks for the replys....it used to adjust no problem, ive just had the barrel re-plated and fitted a new carb boot dont no if thats got anything to do with it, the reeds DO have a slight gap...can i turn them over? seem to remember doing this on my old KTM???

if the reeds have gaps, that's not good.
you can try flipping them, you might get lucky, but don't be surprised if you end up having to buy new ones.
