PVL is a full ignition system, being an internal rotating flywheel, which dramaticly reduces weight causing a ZERO flywheel effect, which means no torque but explosive top-end power and huge over revs. The kit consists of a Entire Stator System, Including Rotor, CDI, Coil, ect. ect. It is pretty d**n easy to install except getting the timing right was a bitch.  You need a dial indicator. I would richen the top-end by huge amounts because of the over rev. You can put it on a stock motor. It costs around $500. Totally worth it if you are into flat out explosive power (very scary but very fun :-) )

Thanks Gowen, Im not so sure about the no torque thing, I like torqe for climbing and lugging around the Dunes, but explosive power sounds so tempting, any way to retain torque and have explosive power?

Have a few ounces shaved off your stock flywheel.

I've found since adding the pvl to the kx it makes it a bitch to start hot or cold.
