Title: Factory Foam
Post by: hughes on June 15, 2005, 01:54:13 PM
Do ya'll guy's run factory foam with ya'll skid plates :?: I was thinking with the speeds I ride that it might be holding heat. It does work great for keeping mud out. What ya'll think.

Do ya ride in the mud?  If so, put it in there.  If not, leave it out.  I use mine at the track or in muddy conditions on my track/trail bike.  Since my KX only sees the sand, I don't run it there.  I think any heat retention would be minimal.  The hottest spot is at the exhaust port....Y'all. :D

I've never got around to putting foam anywhere. I just wash out the mud. Maybe I should? Cam.

You could not be more correct about that statement. I guess I'll leave it in. It's hard to avoid the mud around here.
