The center of your hub will have a "R" and some numbers.
What are the numbers?

no it looks to be just one, im getting really confused and frustraited,  the sprocket i got was bougth for a 2005 kx250f but on the package it clearly says ''83-97 kx500'' and now i cant find a replacement for the old sprocket, and i dont think it's got many hours on it left, is there a chance my hub is not a kx500?

I've been wondering about that...
cause I've got old rear sprockets from my '90, '93, '95, '97, and my current '00 250....and all of them interchange with my '95 500.

i think sprockets for 125 and up is universal as long as you buy them for the rigth brand, if they made the first sprocket work why put research and development in to making a new one?
