Im riding my first track tomorrow on my 98 kx250 and was just wondering if this year is a decent track bike? Im used to my aluminum frame 02 cr250 at the mx track, and this kawi feels like a tractor compared to it, but the kawis motor has alot more bottom end. Just wondering if any yall have experience on the track on the 98. thanks

The 98 kx250 was bike of the year.
One of my sponsored riders occasionally pulls out his 98 and pretty much spanks everyone at the local mx tracks.
Then again he is a freakishly good rider and his suspension is set up superbly for his weight and riding style.

Great machine i also have a 98 250..( if its setup correctly )it will / can destroy new bikes no problem at all.....(depending on the rider) . I recently destroyed a fairly new 425 KTM ...he was maybe having a bad day lol...But yeh the 98 is defo a good year.. Have fun.

I have a 99 KX250 but also had a 02 CR250. The motors are the exact opposite in power delivery and range. I like my KX for the great torque and low/mid power. The 99 motor is same power delivery wise as the 98.
However, the Honda 02 CR250 had amazing handling qualities over my KX (not to say the KX handles poorly just not as dialed as the CR).
