Title: Newbie question '05 kx250
Post by: FvanWoerkom on August 11, 2015, 07:05:11 PM
Hi guys,

I'm new to the mx scene and bought an '05 kx250 but i have a question, since i have the bike the plastic cover next to the radiators are worn and cracked. now i,m wondering if an 06 kx 250 plastic set will fit my 05 model bike because when it comes to looks i prefer the newer model side panels?

Maybe someone who has done it and has a before and after pic?

sorry for my bad english but i'm from the netherlands :-D :-P

Kind regards

Frank

06 and 05 kx250 are the same bikes and the newer model plastic will fit, unless you are talking about kx250f then the newer model will not fit

Welcome to the site FvanWoerkom...

yup...'05, '06, '07...and the non USA '08 are all "R" models, and will fit.

Plastic will fit from 03 up. The tank changed in 05 due to the slimmer frame.

The 08 KXF 450 shrouds are a near bolt on.  They bolt on at the tank, and only require a couple of simple brackets at the lower radiator and on the radiator brace.  It really freshens up the look.
