I tried out the Fox Pawtector gloves recently, was very pleased. Had been using el cheapo gloves, whatever I could find for $20 or less, for the last 10 years, and constantly had to do preventative band-aid jobs on my thumbs and use Palm Savers (same company that makes the neoprene Seal Savers). Last Sunday I forgot to put on band-aids or Palm Savers at the start of the national enduro in Missouri, didn't even think about it until just before the halfway point when I felt a little bit of a blister coming on. The other gloves I'd been using would have made me blister up much more quickly. Threw on my usual set of band-aids and Palm Savers for the second half of the race and had no problems whatsoever - about 5.5 hours on the bike. That's pretty much convinced me that you get what you pay for in gloves - the Pawtector's are $10-12 more than the Dirt Paws, but I think it's worth it.

Hughes,
I like big beefy riding gloves with lots of protection and most of the recent gloves at my local dealers look more like golf gloves.  I am using the "Mechanix" M-Pact II glove.  Been very happy so far. Got many years out of my last pair and just got some new ones.  Also its a good idea to always have 2 pairs so you can put on a dry set of gloves anytime during a ride or long race. Cam.

I normally use the higher priced Shift or Fox gloves,if you are having problems with your palms you may want to check out differnt grips.

I have been wearing Thor Core gloves.  I bought them a size small and let them form to my hands wheile they break in.  Excellent feel to them.  I always hated my Fox gloves (and the rest of their gear) so I am convert to all things Thor.  Love the fit, feel and finish of Thor.  Now I just need to get rid of my Forma Pro's and get some Sidi or Alpinestars.

I was using my good Technic road race gloves. Leather with carbon fibre knuckle protection. They were preemo, but too good for the job. Got Shift Gloves now and with a bit more use they will be good too. Fit like a glove.

I just have some cheap s**t M2R gloves that i have had no problem with when riding for two tanks straight.  Over here the only reason the gloves would get wet is from sweat as even in winter the sand just soaks up all the water.
