Title: Combustion Chamber Formulas
Post by: DoldGuy on June 01, 2015, 02:17:40 PM
Does anyone have any input on their ways of calculating the combustion chambers volumes?

Example, if you know you want "X" width of squish width, leaving your combustion chamber width to be "Y" width, and you want "Z" cc volume, then your depth of chamber needs to be ....

I have the ellipsoid formula, wondering if there is a better way.

Plexiglass and some putty.  Drill a small hole in plexiglass, put putty around chamber on gasket surface, make sure spark plug is snug, use syringe to fill chamber with fluid, anything will work.  Measure how much fluid you put in and you have your CC of the chamber.  Unless I totally misunderstood the question, very possible.
