That was a good article.
But I wonder how true that holds for today's works machines compared to stockers...
Of course, setting the suspension up is key regardless but I still wonder..

Testriders always seem to be excited about Dungey's bike since most of them are 20-30 lbs heavier than he is, that bike is rumoured to pump out 85 very controlable HP, if that's true or not I don't know, but they almost always seems to like his suspension...

not sure if you remember when Andy Short got let go by Jeremy McGraths team a few years ago...
but when he got let go, he had no sponsors and absolutely no ride....so he bought a brand new CRF450 with his own money and raced supercross with it, completely bone stock, other than the suspension being set up for him.
And I remember Jamie Little interviewing Andy at one of the 1st races onboard the stock bike, and she asked him what his thoughts were from going from a factory assisted bike, to a stock bike was like...
His reply was..."oh man, I just went from an F1 race car, to a tug boat!"...he made it pretty clear that it was a huge difference.

Based on my Brothers test rides that's what I think...

Pro Circuit did 6 KX250 motors for me throughout the 90's, and I was always totally amazed in how much stronger they were after they had their hands in there...I had them case matched, ported for mid to top, head mod, and full exhaust system....it used to cost about $1300, but the difference was well worth every cent.
