What chain lube are you guys using??
I was thinking of trying a "Dry" lube type??
Just trying to think of a way to keep all the crap from flying all over the
place????

Go for a O - Ring chain and you just have to keep it clean and use a little WD - 40 to displace any moisture! You will save on sprockets and chain lube!
I have only had to adjust my O - Ring chain once since I installed it!

Can't get an O ring for my boy's KX85. I taught him to run a bead of motor oil on the chain prior to riding. Better than nuthin' I figger.

Maxima Chain Wax is excellent for non-oring chains. Ride around for a few minutes to heat the chain then spray with the Chain Wax and it draws into the races to lubricate them. Works very well. No crappy looking stuff flung on the swngarm etc.. either ;)

I just keep them clean and use WD-40 on my bike and my son's 85.

I always spray heaps of pressure pack style lube on every time i ride and also after every refill. Let the crap go everywhere and just clean it off after. Just coat everything likely to get coated in lube with wd40 or crc at least chains last longer. When racing gokarts on bitumen we always spray the chain every time we go out which is only for about ten laps and roughly 10.5km, i believe that as soon as you see a chain that is shiny looking it needs a good dose of lube.

I used the maxima chain wax for awhile but didn't like the deposits. I'm using the white belray now which seems good. doesn't fly off but rolls off nicely with a wire brush, taking the external dirt with it leaving a clean chain for relubing. Cam.

I pressure wash my roller chain, then soak it in a bucket of recently drained tranny oil (10-40)then let it hang above the bucket to drain off for two days....then I wipe the outside really well to stop oil fling....after a dusty race the outside could look dry but its still very flexable and lubed under the rollers.....

WD-40 on my o-ring,PJ1 or Bel-Ray on my others (messy).
