Title: Theft Protection
Post by: evergreen on April 09, 2015, 08:57:51 PM
My brother and his Friend were robbed twice. Now i think about to buy some new stuff to protect my bike. I also heard from so many other stolen Bikes never found again. I think this Disc Lock and a GPS Tracker could help.

the gps isn't a bad idea...cut out a small area in the bottom of the seat foam towards the back of the seat where you won't be putting much pressure on it while you're out riding...and tuck it in between the seat pan and foam...no one would ever know it's there.

I keep my bikes in my living room with multiple 1/2" shank locks through the front rotors and rear sprockets...my place is alarmed and has 8 cameras...4 that watch the house, and 4 that watch the property, and my dog is always inside when I'm not home...and most people in my area know that my family is all in law enforcement. If a thief wants one of my bikes, they'll have their work cut out for them.

Good Idea with the GPS Tracker in the seat, my thought was the airfilter box. I think it was always the same gang here that stole bikes. I should prepair a bike with GPS as a bait. I love fishing

it's a proven fact that 98% of people that steal from you, are people you know, or are acquaintances...
I have to stand in a court room everyday and listen to thieves try to play the martyr...then I get the satisfaction of brining them back to lock-up, and sticking them with the prisoners that don't belong in society....the murderers and attempted murderers, the ones that would kill your family for a one time "fix".
