Title: Differences between 2000 -2002 KX 250 center cases?

I am going to replace the beat up cases on my 2000 kx250 rebuild project and have noticed that 2000 cases are obsolete but 2002 cases are still available. Ive checked and every part seems to retrofit from year to year but the 02 cases have a different part number. 02 cases will work with my new 2000 crank, transmission bearings and seals, etc. Am i right?
