Hi guys,
The situation is:
I´ve got a 04 kx125.
I´ve still got a rear wheel from the 04 kx250 i owned once.
I don´t care how my kx behaves on mx tracks, i only ride enduro trails.
So, would you think that a 110 (or 120?) rear is better, more traction and more stable?
As the part numbers of the hubs of the 125 and the 250 are the same,
i could swap to the other wheel with the wider tire next time.
thx for your opinions

The wheels will interchange no problem.
How will it react on the trails?
So much of how fast you can go depends on what you like, how you ride, and where you ride.
The rear wheel from the 250 will be a bit heavier so it will take a bit more energy to spin it, stop it, and change direction with it.
I say, give it a spin and see if you like it.

I´m now thinking about a Michelin S12, as it is available in 120/80/19.
Would you think i have to worry about the swingarm clearance?

That tire is approximately 4.75" wide.
Measure it and see.

it'll fit no problem...but a 120 is really too big/heavy for a 125...especially if you get into any deep mud or sand...a 110 is ideally the biggest you want to go on a 125, since they come from the factory with a 100/90.

What do I know, I run a 130 for my front tire :-o

Well, the size declaration of the tires don´t mean much, my 100/90/19 is exactly 120mm wide.
The question is, if the S12 is also wider than it´s declaration of 120...
