Title: serial number location on kx250 motor

Where should I find the serial number on this motor its a 93 kx250 and all I have is the bottom end.That being said what other years cylinder can I bolt up and run with the 93 bottom end

Stamped on the top of one of the engine cases between the swingarm bolt and cylinder.
