Title: How much stress on bottom frame rail of frame?

I picked up a frame for my 86 KX500 that has been nickle plated. Anyhow the right bottom frame rail had some holes, so I cut linear cuts to remove all thin metal that has corroded. I was going to weld it, however I was wondering if there is a lot of stress on that part of frame? it is on the right under the motor mount. The rest of the material is thick.
