Title: Brake bleeder
Post by: Arigato on April 01, 2005, 04:48:10 PM
BigKX lent me his mytivac brake bleeder that he has never used. How does this thing work?  I need to fill and bleed my pretty new green front brake line.

I use a big syringe that i got from Calicycle works. Just suck the fluid through [And air] with ease.

As far as I know you just fill the res up with fluid and then connect the Mytivac up to the caliper nipple, give the nipple a quarter turn then pump the mytivac.
Keep an eye on how much fluid is in the res so you don't end up bleeding it dry.

Once you have got it done just tighten the caliper nipple and bobs you're uncle :)

I have never used one so it's just what a mate told me but aparently they are a good piece of kit to have.
