I no we here these rumors every year but does anyone no anything about the 2016 line up for Kawie?

THERE IS TWO MODELS:
'TM' VERSION AND A 'TE'.
TM VERSION IS TWO STROKE MOTOCROSS
TE VERSION IS TWO STROKE ENDURO
ALL MODELS EXCLUDING THE KX60, KX85, WILL BE FUEL INJECTED.
2016 MODEL RANGE WILL BE:
KX 150 TM
KX 250 TM
KX 300 or 350 TM (undecided at present awaiting AMA* approval)
KX 200 TE
KX 250 TE
KX 300 or 350 TE (undecided at present awaiting AMA* approval)
KX 450 F
KX 250 F
KX 85 T
KX 85 T BW
KX 60 T
* (AMA is in discussions with the EPA to decide what EPA regulations are required to be incorporated into the models, ie, possible Fuel Injection to be fitted for EPA approval)
** PRO CIRCUT WILL BE HAVING A MAJOR INPUT INTO THESE NEW 2 STROKE MODELS.
* SOME 2016 MODELS MAY BE SIGHTED POSSIBLY AT THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2015, ALTHOUGH THESE WILL BE TEST UNITS FOR PROFESSIONAL KAWASAKI KRT RIDERS.

just took me a while to remember where it was. This guy states he works for Kawasaki Australia Sales I was reading his comments on a You tube Video so it isnt very reliable I thought if it was true someone here would have heard about this new lineup.

just that sentence right there raises curiosity...watch this video from McGrath...he hints about Kawie and him getting ready to reveal something very soon...with Mitch Payton of Pro Circuit possibly being involved...

I'm not holding my breath, but on the off-chance it happens, they'll be (2) additional "factory built" 300's in the garage. Again, I hear way too many rumors to believe much of any of it anymore, but hoping I'm wrong on this. Please, prove me wrong Kawasaki!

Just read this from DirtRider. Apparently Jeremy McGrath helped develop the Honda 250 2stroke direct injection.
So he is maybe helping Kawie also try to get some of the market the Europeons have cornered. Welcome to the party japanese manufactures.

Hi Ben,
No truth to these rumours at all.
The KX65 and KX85 will remain as 2-strokes (as they currently are), but there are no new 250 or 450 2-stroke models being developed.

I think once the Japanese other than Yamaha pulled out of the two stroke market it was a done deal! The vacuum has been filled mostly by the Europeans that still engage in R&D and continued improvement. If the Japanese were to re-enter the two stroke market their product would have to be revolutionary and they would have to cater to off-road. With present political and displacement racing rules for motocross and supercross that would be their only option in my opinion. KTM and other European manufacturers now dominate off-road. I don't how the Japanese would be able to capture the off road market to the point of profitability. As previously stated it would have to something absolutely revolutionary and I don't see that happening?

I myself haven't believed whatever Jeremy is getting ready to reveal with Kawasaki to be a new 2T...
my 1st thoughts were if they're possibly going to do something similar to what KTM just released...a factory edition model...I don't know.

I would love for all the rumors to be true, but when 3 of the big 4 dropped their full-size 2str MX models, I pretty much knew it was forever. Unless the bean-counters saw it profitable enough, even with the current unfavorable enviromental political climate that binds the larger motorcycle manufactures to stricter guidelines & approvals, it would really have to be very profitable to relaunch new 2str full-size product (being that most have dropped out around '07-08). Until then, we'll be the lone green 2str's in a sea of orange at the races.

Nice I havent seen a Caprie in years I had a 74 in the mid 80s and really liked that little car I guess they all went to the scrap yard.

yup they have all gone to the scrap yard over the past 12 years I have found 5 of these cars and snatched em all up Plus the wife came with one too lol

The steering wheels are on the wrong side :-D that would kind of be like having the kick starter on the left side.
