Well I guess I should have posted here first......I saw the rear Fender Thread and had to respond......The 500 is my second bike,(I bought a MZ street Moto a couple months previous to that) got it (KX)late last summer, rode alot of trails in the back hills of Seattle...I wanted the most powerful bike to learn on.... whew that mo fo pulls like a SOB, ..... saw my first SM event a couple months earlier, thought at 44 I have got to try it !!! Got to know alot of guys at the track, next thing I knew I got some 17's and Brembo brakes etc and away I went.....The bike has had many mods since....I am learning throttle control and havin a blast....I have been practicing for the last few months and have found that no one can take the KX on the straights.... my new found joy is power wheelies at 70...I love this bike so much, wouldn't trade it for the world !!!!! Seems like a great site, look forward to future posts !!!!......Brian "Proud owner of a KX 5oo" got the bruises to prove it .... LOL

Thanks Guys, when I think of it there is a very cool german site that has no less than 40 KX500 Tards.....I'd be happy to post picts here and there on all the up coming races....the 500 frustrates the full on 525 SMR guys they have more $$ in their engines than I have in my whole bike......
Cam, I'm from BC originally, Mom and Dad are in Kelowna.... I am trying to get an event going in Penticton or Kamploops etc at least just for a practice day, I'll let the BC guys know If I'k sucessful........Brian

Is this the same Brian from Supermoto junkie?
The KX plus Brembo setup sounds familliar to me, if its the same Brian then I have just got hold of the Brembo front calipers from an Aprilia RS250 (the same part number that you gave me and the same as Ducati 916 aparently) and when I get time will be using the left one to replace the standard Nissin caliper that is on the KX at the moment.
Might be a while now cos I am working on the house a fair bit though
Regards Scott
