Title: 88 KX500 Transmission

I have a 88 KX500 . I have read where the 88-89 are the same gears. Can the entire 89 transmission be installed in the 88

Should not be a problem as long as your motor is a 88  , it should have a circlip on engine spocket,  older engine had a nut
