Another member posted a problem he had on his CR500 in that his water pump seal went bad.
When it did, the coolant flowed into his crank case and when mixed with his trans oil cause foamy goop to come out the crank breather and onto his back tire.
Riding in the dirt? No worries...
Riding on the street? You could be dead.
So I plan on adding a catch can to my K5SM.
The catch can will be for the crank vent and the carb over flows.
I searched the site but didn't see any examples.
I started a thread with some pics on my forum here but nothing specific to the KX500:

So I'm looking for some examples you may have done or some idea's you may have.
Thanks!

Here is mine . I made it for my motard in about 20 min. after I found out the track required one.
PVC pipe and caps (1/16 hole in the top edge of one cap). sponge in the pipe and 2 fittings.

Sandblaster, that unit is from supermoto pro but they are currently unavailable. I would imagine they could somehow find you one or have something similar in stock.

Very nice.
I was considering using my swing arm but I haven't looked at it close enough yet.
Thanks for posting.

Why not use the swing arm as the catch can?

Why not use the swing arm as the catch can?
that would be cool 8-)....as long as the inside of the swing arm doesn't start corroding on the inside, from excessive exposure from the fuel and coolant...I'm not sure if that would ever be an issue, but it's one thing I'd wanna be sure of 1st.

Ahhhh.... It arrived 8-)
