Title: Kickstarter Idle gear wear
Post by: algava on October 29, 2014, 04:19:57 PM
Mine is used(20.08 mm id) and I know it's supposed to wobble a bit but is there anyone that have an id measurement from a new one so we can compare?
Also, has anyone replaced the bushing rather than replace the whole gear?

is there a reason your concerned? does it slip when trying to start the bike? I have had that happen and found the teeth were rounded, not so as you would notice it immediately but if you look really close they are rounded enough to not catch. I have take the gear in a lathe and used a tool post grinder to square them up and they have worked

I think hes refering to the idle gear which wouldnt afect whether it slips or not.
most that I have been into due wobble a little as long as you have the snap rings on both sides good you should be good
