Title: modern day tecate 4
Post by: brose434 on September 28, 2014, 05:20:22 AM
i'll post some pics later when i have some more time. what i built is a modern day tecate 4 using a kfx450 frame with a tecate 4 bottom end with a crank from a 99 kx250 that i machined to work in the tecate cases so i would have a counter balancer. the crank was then re-balanced by falicon. i did this so i could use newer kx cylinders which are for a 72mm stroke versus the tecate 4's 70mm stroke. i'm using a 99 kx250 cylinder that's been bored out to be a 301 and ported with a phat head racing coolhead with 210lbs. compression. running a pvl ignition, 39mm pwk, vforce2 reed cage, and pro circuit pipe and silencer for the 99 cylinder, and a hinson kx500 clutch basket.

That's what I am doing but since I don't have access to a kfx, I'm using a blaster.
