Title: Kx500 pipe
Post by: dougla13 on September 22, 2014, 11:15:56 AM
I've been reading the forums. Probably read every topic down to page 10.
but 1 question is unclear, what pipe is it that you guys use? (that the ones that are made from scratch).
are they all cr500 pipes with the kx500 adaptor ?

I used a CR500 works pipe from Pro Circuit.
I had to dent it for the cylinder head coolant elbow and weld the KX500 flange on.

i used a stock cr500 pipe for my conversion (93 kx250 with 86 kx500 engine)... now i also ride a stock 87 kx500 and i feel no difference in performance, except the diferent frames...  so you can take any cr 500-pipe and modify it to your bike...
