I originally bought a set of these on e-bay for my 250 cause the OEM rubber cones were smoked, and I couldn't get my bars to sit straight.

They did the trick...but I also noticed how much they decreased the amount of vibration in the bars!
He has them listed for the K5 too, but...they are listed for '96-'04, and the part #'s are different from '95 to '96 for OEM. So I shot him an e-mail wondering if he knew if the '96s' would work....his reply was, he didn't know.
So instead of buying a set that could potentially turn out to be useless, I tried the ones I got for the 250 on my '95 K5...what do ya know...they fit better on my 500 than on my 250.
So then I shoot him another e-mail explaining to him that the 250 cones fit better on my '95 500 than on the intended 250...and that I would just buy another set of the 250 cones.
His reply was,...."Thank you for sharing your findings with me, and for that, I will refund you $10 off the cost of the 2nd set you buy."....very cool of him!
I just threw the 2nd set in my 500 and went for a quick 20min ride...wow!....now I never had any issue with the vibes bothering me before, but now, the vibration is almost non-existent!
Another well spent $30!

Do they reduce vibes more than the oem rubber?

yep....that's what theses replaced...the rubber dampers/cones....
the rubber ones on my 250 were junk...but the rubber ones on my 500 were fairly new still...but the billet cones made a substantial difference, so I put the billets on both bikes.
