Title: Clutch doesn't disengage with engine off
Post by: dinkyguitar on August 29, 2014, 08:14:57 AM
Hi all,

So I haven't started my engine yet because I'm slowly attaching everything, but should I be able to move my bike in gear with the clutch pulled in?

I realize the true test should be to start it and let everything reach operating temps.....but I'm curious. ..

I remember when I was looking at the clutch all the plates and disc's measured like new and they all looked good.

Is this normal for a newly rebuilt unstarted engine?

Thx guys...I should get the rest of my supply and hopefully start and do some heat cycles...I'm crossing my fingers that she starts....she has been in a coma for about 8 years in a shed...
