They constantly blew up.
one of our local multi time NESC champions Keith Johnson got offered to race one for a season...his main sponsor at the time was EZ-Wider of all people to be sponsored by....but during a Southwick National it blew up just as he was going off an extremely high speed jump, and d**n near ended his career...and shortly after at Central Village, CT, it did the same thing just as he was coming up to a jump...after that, he parted ways with Cannondale and went back to Kawie.
