Title: Revlock Clutch
Post by: reinsport on February 15, 2005, 01:44:05 PM
Anybody using the rev lock clutch? Would the higher engagement speed of the auto-clutch hide the off throttle surge the KX 500 are known for? I want to run super-motard, but that off throttle "Poping" breaks traction without the clutch pulled in. It makes it very hard to be smooth the mid part of a turn. Thanks...

I installed an EFM auto clutch some time ago and am very happy with it.  I have found that most of the off throttle surge is caused by the pilot jet being waaay too rich.  I now run a 40 pilot with a 165 main jet and it runs clean with premium pump gas and Redline oil mixed at 40:01.  The auto clutch made it real easy to haul butt in the greasy mud last weekend. :D
