Title: Radiator Screens..will ones from 86 KX250 fit on 87 KX250?
Post by: dinkyguitar on June 18, 2014, 01:43:04 AM: So I ordered radiator screens parts from partzilla.com and got screwed...(well, I would have liked 2 instead of 1)

They sent me 1 when I ordered 2 and when I called them they said the manufacturer has discontinued them :? .

How did they discontinue them? I just put my order in last week.

I must have been the very last person in the entire world that received the last one in existence.

Anyway, just venting a little. Does anyone one know if ones from an 86 will fit an 87?

I could always modify them.....

It's going to bother me knowing I have 1 brand new, and 1 old.

for the price he's asking, I'd try it.

I saw a pair just like that ebay, new NOS for $20 plus shipping....

I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to do since my main focus right now is getting the bike together..

ufoplast has aftermarket kx-plastics from 87 and newer...

or look just here www.nightmare-racing.com ... he sells kx replica plastics from 1974 and up...

there was a company YEARS ago that made really cheap useless metal ones...they looked like chicken wire...and I think DEVOL made some, but they restricted air more than anything.

nightmare "might" make them...but I doubt it highly, since he has none listed or shown individually or in a kit....
screens/lovers are, and always have been an "OEM only" item, as far as plastic ones are concerned.
