Title: kick start gear?

My 94 k5 feels like it has broken a tooth on the kickstart, as it doesnt engage when I try to give it a go from the same sweet spot at TDC. I always start from this position, so maybey that has caused extra wear. I havent taken it apart yet, I was just seeing if anyone has encountered this so  I can order some parts right away.

usally this is due to a warn ratchet spring. Replace the small spring behind the gear and the ratchet gear. They are both like $20 together and it will fix it.
