here is my rebuild of my kx250 2002 not finished yet, but almost. I don't have alot of pictures about my build but always fun to share.

my first order tires, cables, all the bearing (suspension, swing-arm, linkage) fork seal and bushing...

My cylinder was done and my piston had a crack on the skirt (no pic of the piston

test fit some color (painted old plastic too see) and my ebay pipe

polished the exhaust tip, painted the tube and repacked it, looks like new

had to modify a intake boot that i bought on ebay from a kx250 1995 they are the same except for the notch in the corner for carb clearance

it is almost done still waiting on the clutch hub and a water pump bearing the number plate will be black and the fork guards too

Looks like it turned out pretty sweet!! How does your bro like that RM? I  gotta chance to pick one up just like it from my brother in law for 700!

he rode it about 5 times (first bike of his life) and he wrecked it, dislocating his shoulder so....
but its a great bike the power is more on top of the rpm and it corner better than the kx with the same suspensions, its a good bike.

looks good!...I considered going with black plates too when I did my L2 over, but wasn't sure how it would look...now I know, and like it.
did you do any special massaging to that pretty crispy new jug?? :-o

no just gasket matched with the case, but will probably send the old one for a big bore job + porting next winter.
