Just received the 68.50mm for my 93 and comparing the old piston from my friends 93 which is also a 68.50 mm it is two different designs, the new one which looks a lot cheaper and poorly made. I'll post some pictures of the two and I also weighed the two.

Wouldn't doubt that they have to cut back.
Less machine operations saves money.
With all the competition in the piston market it's gotta be tough.

I agree, I have been using Wiseco for as long as I can remember, always top quality. looks like I'm gonna have to start checking out the other manufacturers......
Any suggestions?
I have used the cheap cast pistons in lower powerd sleds with excellent results.
But I don't feel comfortable using the cheap stuff in high strung applications.

Look long and hard at Wossner...
They are of excellent quality.

I will have to go snoop around the website..... Lol

mebees for yous in America but England wer taxed for going for a s**t! wats the best wossener or wiseco I like the fact wiseco are shiney

ProX seems to be a decent piston. I have been getting a lot of customers with sleds that brought me ProX pistons. Haven't heard anything bad about them yet. I personally have never used them but quality seems pretty good.
I have also never used a wossner but have installed them. Outstanding quality and no complaints.
Wiseco has always been my go to company and only had 1 issue that was resolved quickly and efficiently over the 20 years I've been dealing with them.

Pro-x trashed my last 500. It let a ring guide pin loose and it rattled around in my engine. Needless to say, not going to run one, I did not put it in. It was in my bike when I got it and it did not have a lot of time on it. Just a cheap cast piston.

Good to know. I've only installed them in sleds which don't vibrate as much as the 500 so I'd scratch ProX off the list.

I'm using a Pro-X in my KX125. I've got over forty hours on the current piston with zero trouble. I tore down the top end this weekend to check it out, and everything was within spec. I replaced the ring this time, and I plan to replace the piston, ring, pin, and wrist pin bearing at the next teardown.
