Ive seen the charts but seeing if any UK guys have anything tried and tested. Ive not busted the carb open yet,in fact ive not even ridden the bike as I cant start the thing. Ive bought the jets according to the chart and my elevation which is anywhere between 150-600ft on the different tracks ill be using it on with varying uk temps.
The bike is fresh in from California. Starting wise it gives a backfire now and again and im scared of a kickback so im a bit reserved on giving it some!!. It started 4th or 5th kick when it was delivered by the seller last week and that was without choke from cold and gave a couple back fires before it went. Ive read that a properly set up bike will start well from cold

For your elevation take a close look at 55/168
That works well down to 50 degrees F and from 0-1500 ft.

Thank you for that. I thought it best I open the carb so I have and it has the following
58 pilot
142 main
N82M needle on clip 3
If I go with your jetting what needle would you recommend?
Many thanks Karl

yeah you could/would very well fry the top-end running a 142.

142??? Whoa.... that's a bit small....
I would start with 55/168, stock needle, 3 position to start and I might play with the 2nd position once I verified that it wasn't running lean.
142???? That thing must be pinging like crazy at WOT :-o
