Title: Guy wonders why my keyboard is so dirty??
Post by: sandblaster on March 26, 2014, 09:34:00 AM
Story time..
A customer calls me up tells me that my keyboard is really dirty..
"Yes" I replied...
"How come?" He asks.
"Might have something to do with how dirty my hands are" I said.
He then tells me how unprofessional it looks when I send or show pics that have my keyboard or desk in the back ground.
"That's because I am unprofessional" I said.
Dead silence....
Then I say, "We sell used dirt bike parts. They are covered in grease and dirt and I am constantly handling them all day. Consequently I can't wipe my hands off every few minutes to use the keyboard. I clean it once a week and call it good".
Well, it just looks unprofessional" he says..
Ok, is there anything else I can do for you?" I ask.
Dead silence....
I hung up

It never fails to amaze me how some people have nothing better to do...

I always look at the keyboard of the guy I buy my used motorcycle parts from.  Yes the motor looks perfect, do you by chance have a picture of your keyboard?

I'd have a hard time being polite.  Job well done.

How about this one ....guy comes in "do you have a top fairing for a 2004 gsxr1000?" I say "yes mate I got 3 of them...$200" he tells me he's looked everywhere and I'm the only bloke who has them secondhand ...I get one down for him he looks at it and says " how about $150" now it's sitting on the floor at this stage and I do a massive karate style leap and crash down straight onto it and there it sits...in about 4 pieces...I say "well you can have that one for $150 or you get two more goes to get it right"

Perfect.
I get that all the time.
Hey, I've been looking for months and this is the first one I have found.
Will you take half of what your asking for it?
Maybe I should try your tactic  :-D
