Title: Help Identifing my k5 eninge

   I recently picked up a k5 engine and am planning on buying an import buggy, trashing the junk chinese clone motor and installing the kx 500 engine. I need a head, piston and rings, cdi (among other things, someone dedicated to kick start it for me) I am not 100% at what exact year I have. Can someone help me with this? The numbers on the case are KX500BE-002996. I am thinking it is an 86 model? I am tore up about this project! I rode a kx500 several years ago and was impressed with the power, cant wait to stress the frame on a BMS sand spider 150.....
