Post by: staffylad on December 29, 2013, 09:48:12 AM
im running on putoline and always have since I started last year but thers somany brands I recently switched from 4stroke back to 2 and am thinkin rockoil smells better in 2smokes wonder if I should use that instead of putoline because I bought some putoline filter cleaner for 20quid took the top of and smelt it and realised its only turps in a putoline tin so am gonna persevere with stuff and not listen to the brands toomuch otherwise il end robbing myself alltime lol :)

Gotta say IMO, nothing smells better than a Maxima 927 mix with VP C12 in my KX250.

Motul 800 is good at 50:1 or even 60:1

I run Motul 800 at 50:1 in my street tard and my sand bike.
No problems with either bike.

A bore scope and old non Reed valve motors.  Easy to watch how much oil is in crank case without taking anything apart

in other words persevere and find out wat works best for you lol its running rich at the minute and idol is high so need run it abit turn tick over down then mixture screw out to just bottom stickin out then then 1/4 turn and wait 20seconds for the engine to catch up right its running in cold weather here so air particles will stick together with gas particles in carb that's if my bowl floats set to right height wich I think it is I haven't measeured it yet
