Chad Reed is on a KX this year. As an old old guy myself, it would be cool to see an old guy do well.
-

Tough break for James Stewart! :-D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLvQW19gxog (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLvQW19gxog)
it was expected
-
This time James wasn't riding over his head though........The bike just kicked weird through the whoops......however bad choice in lines......if you watch the race again you will notice that in the previous laps he was getting a little out of shape using that same line......but if you want to pass you have to take chances like that.

yeah, but in the previous laps he wasn't a 1/2 a second behind the leader (Kenny) either....his adrenaline was high and he was pushing to make the pass for the lead in the whoops...which is where he makes 90% of his passes...and crashes....I saw it coming the second he had Kenny in his sights....so yeah, for me it was expected :-D.
I do agree though, even Dungy said he nearly threw it away on the last lap in the same whoops.

Danger...is that an updated list?...I ask because the other nights race was on at 10:30pm-1:30am here in Eastern Mass on DirecTV FS1.
Just have to check your TV guides 24 hours ahead of time and pre-set the TV to automatically tune to it to be on the safe side.
EDIT...it's actually on again tonight at 9:00pm-12:00am on FS2.
-
I found it on the AMA website.
I can skip ahead 10 days with Dish network DVR. Seems to be accurate.
(I don't want to get an ass chewing).

I'm not big fan of Barcia's...but his bike's lookin sweet in 80's style.

My cousin Mandy is his team manager.
-
I just watched practice on supercrossonline.com and saw Adam fall in the whoops....I knew instantly his shoulder was out, as I had 17 dis-locations in my early 20s.

That's too bad.
That kid is an amazing rider.
So, who's gonna win the 450 class?
I say Stewart...

I say Stewart...
yeah he is fast...what a rookie year he's had up until this point!
Stewart and Dean Wilson had the fastest times....between the two, I choose Stewart as well.
-
watch....Villopoto who's been in the hospital all day and hasn't even seen the track until show time....crush everyone by 10 seconds tonight
-
I watched a bit of Dean Wilson a few years ago when he was up in Canada racing our nationals and the year he raced for Canada at Des Nations. That kid is fast man, glad to see him up where he belongs.
So much more talent this season compared to just a few short years ago when it was just Reed and Stewart back and forth.
Villo is so dominant right now though, I also love seeing reed and Barcia in the mix too.
Some good talent right now.
-
When I saw Stewart get that bad start all I could think about was him riding way over his head and crashing, taking him out for another season.
Glad to see he kept a level head...
Now, who's gonna win next week?
If he shows up to race I'm going with Bubba again for 3 Supercross wins in a row 8-)
-
When Stewart is 'On' I do not think anyone can beat him. It is like watching art, or poetry in motion. Amazing.
Wife was at a track day last year and Dane Westby was there as a guest instructor. He was two up with a 100lb girl passing the fastest people on the track on the outside of the corners. 20 seconds off of the track record. Good God. Faster then I have ever ridden at my best. People that are in that class of rider are amazing to watch or race with. We have seen a few of those on the desert with the KX5, have we not? :-o Fun stuff.
-
after watching the practice sessions and seeing sooooo many guys struggling and getting hurt, it definitely was one of the more intense races to watch....those whoops claimed many a victim.
Bubba mastered that rhythm section like a trooper!
-
Yeah, those whoops were a killer.
I would have liked to try them just to see how bad they really were.
I know from past experience that TV just doesn't show how bad it really is.
-
I know from past experience that TV just doesn't show how bad it really is.
very true....you know they were really bad when you see guys like Cianciarulo get mopped, Barcia had a near over the bars endo in the whoops, Bubba almost through it away in the whoops...Tedesco had a bad get off in the whoops, and many others went down hard too.
Very unusual, but very exciting at the same time.
-
he'll crush everyone in the supercross series next year after being so close and now having to step away...it'll only make him want it more!

-
Yep... 17 years old and having surgery.
It's too bad that these guys couldn't wear air bag suits...
We might keep some of these injuries down..
Something less then this

who's gonna win tonight?....Bubba looked smooth in practice and had the quickest lap time again...RV was looking so-so, Dungey and Roczen were both haulin a$$ too...should be another exciting one!

-
this was kinda comical...he may be one of the best starters off the gate, but it wouldn't bother me any to see him go!

Didn't realize William sustained such injuries...
cracked skulls suck...Friday November 19th of 1999 I cracked mine right across my right eye socket...ya think a hang-over headache hurts?...holy f**k!!...and I lost my sense of smell and taste for about 6 years.

-
If Bubba shows and rides... Bubba will win 4 in a row 8-)
Any other guesses?
-
we have a 2T in practice at Seattle today!!...#474 Jake Anstett on a KTM 250SX in the 450 class. He qualified 6th, hopefully he'll be out there on it tonight in the Heats....sure sounds sweet over all the lawnmower sounding bikes.
-
That is outstanding.
I wish Stewart would do it :-D
-
Last night I got offered a ticket to tonights SuperCross and had to say "No". Crap!
-
That is outstanding.
I wish Stewart would do it :-D
A bunch of them should all ride one for at least one race...it would be so exciting!
lookin like RV very well may take his 4th consecutive title tonight too!! :-D
-
Hey, how are you healing up?
-
Hey, how are you healing up?
funny you ask...I just went back to work Monday March 31st...I thought I did something majorly wrong the 1st day back, as I was in a lot of discomfort, a lot!. So I suffered through it for a few days until the Doc could see me. I actually thought I was gonna get sick walking into the Docs....I started feeling really whoozy, expecting the worst possible news.
Thankfully, I was just being over paranoid, and because it had only been 6 weeks since the surgery, and for the fact the muscles are weak from not doing anything for those 6 weeks...he said it was normal, and that everything is still good...and he was very happy how it looks.
I dumped the old fuel outa the 250 and 500 this morning, because I plan on starting them tomorrow...they haven't been run since the 1st week of January :x....I'm a bit unsure if I'll be able to start the 500, I may have to call my buddy and have him come over and fire it off for me...we'll see :|
All in all...doing ok...I'm still far from being able to actually suit up and go riding...it might not be until July-ish til I don't feel any more discomfort/pain. The doctor keeps reminding me that I don't realize the magnitude of the surgery he did on me...and I need to be more patient! :x
Thanks for asking! :-D
-
87 Shane McElrath in the 250f class sure took a spectacular crash, planting the front wheel into the third hump of those triples... ouch...
-
the tracks have had some killer sections the last few weeks, where a lot of guys are going down...I don't want to see anyone get hurt...but man, it really makes watching it exciting when you see some of the best riders in the world struggling to keep it up-right!!
-
VILLOPOTO IN THE SEMI'S???
I had to record it so I'll be late in my comments... :-o
-
Heat race...
Barcia with the hole shot... but Stewart stuffs him by corner 2...
38 really bit it hard...
Those jumps and whoops are kickin the snot out of riders...
It's exciting but I hate to see these good riders getting hurt.
Stewart is the first of the night to hit and make the quad... and wins his 10th heat race of the season.
-
Villopoto in semi 2...
Villopoto takes it...
-

Lap 7 Villopoto is 4.5 seconds ahead of Stewart.
Lap 8 Villopoto is 4.98 seconds ahead of Stewart.
Lap 9 Villopoto is 4.1 seconds ahead of Stewart.
Lap 10 Villopoto is 4.12 seconds ahead of Stewart.

Lap 20 Villopoto is 7.26 seconds ahead of Stewart.
Lap 21 Villopoto is 7.62 seconds ahead of Stewart.
Lap 22 Villopoto is 8.81 seconds ahead of Stewart.
Lap 23 Villopoto is 10.24 seconds ahead of Stewart.
Lap 24 Villopoto is 11.07 seconds ahead of Stewart

Villopoto takes it... Stewart in second, Dungey in 3rd, Tomac 4th, Barcia in 5th, Canard in 6th, Roczen in 7th, Short in 8th, Hill in 9th Allessi in 10th.
Villopoto has his 39th career win... but... Does not clinch the championship as Stewart is still too close in points...
-
great race...too bad we didn't get the chance to see Anstett on the 2T.
-
great race...too bad we didn't get the chance to see Anstett on the 2T.
Yep... or anyone on a 2T...

New Jersey's looking like another track that'll claim some victims...

That straight and first turn looks fast #800 should pull a hole shot or 2,it does look brutal.
