Hi,
This question will maybe sound strange or misplaced to you, and maybe youīr right.
I live in Austria and iīm planning to send my kx125 cylinder to Eric Gorr for a 144cc mod.
As it is rather impossible to get answers to mails from busy Gorr, i donīt know how much iīm about to pay for this project.
The forward motion website names 550$ for it, but doesnīt mention the shipping costs.
The local post of Austria will transfer my parts for 25 Euro to Plymouth, but i donīt know how much the hauliers listed up on Gorrīs order form for will take, because the online calculator tools name about 400 Euros, which i just canīt imagine.
So, has anyone living in Europe received a package from Eric Gorr and can tell me which how much was paid for the shipping?
Please excuse the weird thread, but i just want to hear experiences before sending my cylinder on good luck.
thanks!

Wy not buy a KX144 kit from Athena?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=kx144+athena&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=3 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=kx144+athena&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=3)
Then you can bold it on and ride. I think the cost would be not much more.
How are the customs (zoll) in Austria?
In Holland tax can become verry much when importing stuff from the US.
Just a thought.

Another member on here went the Athena 144cc bolt on kit with an 08 YZ125 and loved it.
It was Polar-Bus if I remember right.

About the toll:
Afaik itīs all about declaring the value low?!
Athena:
Absolutely not an option!!!

Eric Gorr does not deal with shipping . Since teaming up with Millennium Tech, they take care of it.

Are the Athena's bad? I just had US Chrome replate my RM125 cylinder but might be in the market for a 144 kit in the (distant) future.

A friend of mine owns a 05 yz125 with the (now second) 144 Athena kit.
The first kit always blew the head gasket, which seems to be a well known problem.
The new kit he has now is more reliable, bus he hasnīt had the choice of different power characteristics like the ones Gorr offers and he has to use 100 octane fuel.
And, it was much more expensive than the Gorr mod...

Yeah, that would be an issue for me too. I don't want to have to run anything except non-ethanol premium.

Thanks for that link dutchie!
Looks like the best deal (although i miss the powerband and fuel option)
I managed to mail with gorr in between, he names 75$ for the shipping to europe, which i ok i guess.
Just have to wait for the moment i can overbear my conscience, as my plating isnīt damaged oder worn yet...
(Also couldnīt displace the thought of using a 200 EXC engine for the max trail satisfaction )
