I have just recently restored a 1998 text 500 for Vet motocross racing.
Was interested in putting a hydraulic clutch on it and wanted to get some feed back if anybody has done it yet.
I have seen the mugura clutch assembly but don't know much about it.
Any input would help

Wanna see a cheaper way to get that hydraulic clutch feel without the hydraulic clutch?

the clutch actuation on all my 250 bikes is a very smooth actuating cable . just as easy to pull, as any hydraulic-clutch.
on the newer kx500´s (88-2004) is the clutch actuation changed and works easier to the left hand as the older one like my ´86 engine. the engine-preowner had also installed extra strong springs and so there was the point, that i had to choose between buying an ´86 clutchcable and risk that is hard to pull or i use the 10 years old hydraulic clutch that laying around from earlier days as i used it on a 250. :-)
i refilled at with new brake fluid and installed it to the bike.
