KX500FLA,

With 15/44 and 19"rear wheel and a some "tuning" done(lighter piston/wristpin and balanced well) you can rew it to 8000rpm (not only overrev) and reach 110-115 mph.
Stock maybe 98-100 mph/7000rpm and a slim/light rider.
Sure someone out there have tried more topspeeds.
(be carefully, MX-tires is?nt made for these topspeeds)

The secret to "Rev-ability" is Crank Truing/Balancing and which ignition you run.

I'll make this super easy on ya. You need a Digitron E.G.T. with a digital tach, e.g.t., and head temp. All data is able to be downloaded to a p.c. for review.  I own a DT-53k, which costs about $400.00, it's not that big and it has programmable warnigs lights for your temps.  The first one I bought was a two screen, I got a hold of Mr. Dean Sr. at digitron.  He exchanged it minus billing me the extra $74.00.  And they even custom cut my cords.  Usually these go on snowmobiles and carts, but with a e.g.t. jetting guesses are a thing of the past. I also have lectron 44mm carb. Then it really gets easy because I don't have jets. I just turn a screw on the top of the carb for 1 rotation, you get the equilalent of 10 different main jet sizes. No disassembly.  These two together make it so your bike runs perfect every day, all day.  You can call Digitron at 1-509-467-3128 or at www.digatronusa.com      You will be glad you did.
