Title: Rubber Dampers Attached to Frame that Fuel Tank Sits on?
Post by: MXonaKawi on June 30, 2013, 12:11:49 PM
My powder coater took them off. I am going to just order new ones. How are they attached? Are they just glued on to the frame??

Mine has 2 rubber tits if you will that just push through holes on either side of the mount.

They are glued, not sure you can buy new ones, I have never looked.

OEM sites sell them brand new and thanks I thought they were glued since there are no holes in the frame for a "nipple". The questions is...what kind of glue would be best? I was thinking super glue or liquid nails, but I get the feeling super glue would be better for such a small piece.

I used grip glue. Use the tank itself to hold the rubber dampers in place while the grip glue dries.
