Title: Rear shock fit!
Post by: wecsubloc on May 28, 2013, 11:18:53 AM

Will the newer shocks from Kx250fs bolt on
to a 2005 kx 250? Looking to upgrade my suspension .
I'll take all the advice I can get. Thank you in advance for response.

Cheers!

Wecs

I have the dimensions for a 05 KX250F rear shock here:

Let me know if it works so I can update my interchange info.

it should fit fine, the newer 250fs have Showa components, I put the forks and shock on my latest 500 AF

It'll fit if you shorten it 14 or 17 mm, I forget which.  I'm sure I've got the notes at the shop.

But if you leave it stock, you'll have problems.

I know that was true with the older stuff but I was thinking that the newer were the same, and you had to shorten it or change the clevis
