Title: Piston size help
Post by: wesleycrisler on May 14, 2013, 02:20:10 AM
I bought a 94 kx125 with a oversize bore kit on it. About 3months after having it I burned a piston ring. So I tore it down and decided to replace the piston. I put the  caliber to it and it measured 60mm. The biggest bore size I can find is 56mm. However found a piston kit from  pinnaonalt racing that measured 60mm but, they told me I had to purchase two bc lack of demand. Is there anything I can do. Like put a 60mm piston from a kx h1 (there 60mm). Would that might work.  I just want to get it running again thx

You might try Eric Gorr to see if he's got an oversized piston available for that bike.

If the big bore kit is too much of a hassle, consider going on eBay to see if you can find a stock cylinder. You'll lose the big bore, but stock-sized replacement pistons will be easy to find.
