Post by: Hesford on January 29, 2013, 04:31:21 AM
Two years and no luck, please help!!
Hi, so my kx500 resto is going good but iv been searching for two years for an air box! Can anyone help? I think it could even be a 1982 420 air box. Also a kickstart, I don't think there's any left! If you guys don't have one then I think il have to stick something else on and that would be criminal. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Chris.

For the kick lever the book says the following will fit:
FITS 75 KX400, 79-82 KDX450, 80-81 KX250 KX420, 83-84 KX500
For the Air box:
FITS 83-84 KX250 11011-1115
Hope someone has something because I'm out  :-(

Thanks to both of you for info, I'm going to follow up the kick start lever so that's great, Sandblaster; when you talk of 'the book' what is this book?
Any air filters would be appreciated thanks

go to partzilla.com follow the prompts through to your make, model, year and part number click on the part number and a list of all bikes that the part will fit will appear.its interesting how some parts can go back into the 70's models. i live in ozzie land and when i think the local price is too high i purchase from these guys. or start looking on ebay under the corresponding models for the same parts.

Partzilla is a good site, formally powersportsplus.
I also have some K5 interchange info and some parts sizes here:
